  • I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to climb to the pyramid up 2500 meters from the village floor. Coming from sea level the day before & not yet acclimated to the altitude the climb up was at best difficult. A look at the fissure & last leg of the climb, almost there...
  • Salvia nebulosii species growing in the wild used by curanderos .
  • An Agave species clings to the side of the fissure just below the pyramid.
  • The fungi population here was somewhat dormant not sending up mushrooms since it was between the rainy seasons. I could still spot mycelia growing from rotting wood & distrubed dirt. This shot is of fungi growing on the side of a log.
