HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA

There was a time I modeled & did a little acting. I guess in most major cities kids get paper routes, work at restaurants or maybe mow lawns but in Los Angeles the kids sometimes get jobs working at the movie studios or filling in at magazines, television shows & movies sets, hey, whatever it took to have more water time in the surf & not have to grow up!

I was fortunate enough to have a brother who worked for a few magazines as a photographer & to have our family live down the street from Sally Field's brother — a guy to surf with who's family was active doing the Hollywood thing & running a few magazines. Between the two of them, one was always calling in a panic when against an ad deadline asking me to model clothes or sports gear or ride a skateboard down a hill on camera. A little here & a little there turned into having seven Hollywood agents working for me, sending me to jobs around Los Angeles when I wasn't being a fireman or airbrushing at Huntington Beach.

A few credits:

Paper Moon Post Cards, yup I'm in several of their postcards • Vogue Magazine various layouts • Ocean Pacific promotional posters, magazine ads and swimwear • Various Sport Magazines • High Fashion Ramp Modeling, something I never felt comfortable doing • Playboy • Movie Posters • Calendars • Escort for Joan Collins during her Dynasty role • "Making of a Male Model," a made-for-television movie with Joan Collins (Joan Collins would hire me to have photos taken with her as her escort, yes I enjoyed being with her & learned a lot seeing her firsthand manipulate the media, she had total control of her career) • E! Entertainment Television, when they were starting E! Entertainment Television by coincidence I was in projects where I was interviewed by them several times so after a while I became friends with one of the hosts (She'd call me "Victor, I don't have a guest would you puleeeeeeeeeeze come down & shoot with us?") • Two On The Town, NBC • Eye On L.A., ABC • Real People, NBC with Sarah Purcell, she interviewed me about modeling & being a fireman we also did a flirting scene with me licking her neck -- hey! don't be laughing! I'm pouring out my soul here! :) • Conan the Barbarian, Universal Studios • KISS FM, I was auctioned off during ladies night out for a promotion • Pretty much anything someone was willing to give me money for :)
