Raptor & Crows

I haven't figured out why crows seem to enjoy harassing raptors and other birds. When photographing raptors I am guaranteed that a few crows are not far behind.

Another shot of the same raptor. Normally I carry a monopod to steady the camera. The monopod is easy to carry & it can be setup quickly.

This raptor was very large with a wingspan of about 50+ inches. This shot was taken on the way to my sons school so I hand held the camera which had an old 300mm manual focus Nikon lens attached to a Nikon D70.
