This shot was taken during a trip to Mexico to shoot the solar eclipse in 1992.

San Blas was going to be the apex of the event. Shooting here was tricky due to the mosquito population. For this shot, I stood outside of the car as the mosquitos sucked the life blood from me. The mosquitos were so aggressive they could bite through three layers of clothing. A person inside the car manned the doors while I took this shot.

Another thing about shooting here in the hot tropics was that my camera bag being black would get very hot & the camera at times was so hot I could not handle it to take an image.

The tropical storms would move in throughout the day making filming fabulous, no lack of beautiful patterns of clouds. This is San Blas Harbor at sunset, no filters used.
