Thank you for dropping by & seeing what I can do with a camera, some film and good subject matter.

I really enjoy music, I am hardwired for music, it is interwoven into every fiber of my body, therefore I look forward to working with my music clients, they are by far my favorite clients. Since the seventies I began shooting music events by sneaking in a camera and then begin to improve upon taking shots at very low light levels without a tripod. Well, those days are long gone and now I enjoy the privilege of not only not having to pay to enjoy the music events but I can drag my tripod in tow to cope with the low light levels.

Through the years my clients have changed as much as the style of music has changed in the last decades. I attempt to capture what I am feeling and seeing of the experience.

The above shots are from left to right, a band member performing at a night club in San Francisco that my friend Jai took me to. Jai took me to several underground functions and introduced me to many individuals who were shaping the next wave of music at underground level. Jai was not only a musician but also a DJ and radio show producer from an FM radio station in Davis, California. If it were not for Jai I am sure I would not have gotten behind the scenes and partake in the DJ's preparation before a rave or night club gig. Jai would call and say, "Look man, you have to come with me to see what this guy is doing!" We would then drive to such and such club, or field, or warehouse. Thank you, Jai.

The next shot is of one of my long time favorites with his own style music which was being called Electro Deep House, Roy Davis Jr., whom we played over and over again on Marcus "Marc The Lark" Dickerson's radio show "Keys To The House." This is Roy Davis Jr., soul electrifying at one of Marques Wyatt's DEEP functions when it was held at the Saint Mark's Hotel in Venice, California.

The black & white image is of David Morales, spinning at Marques Wyatt's DEEP when it was at The Viper Room in Hollywood, California. When David spins the house is packed! And the room dripping with sweat! So, what I do when I shoot David is bring a pack of PEC*PADs to remove the moisture from the camera, no I'm not complaining :)

I owe a big thanks to Marques Wyatt who took me under his wing after our friend Marcus Dickerson died and after I moved to Los Angeles. Marques would call me and invite me to his gigs DEEP around the Los Angeles area. This photo is of Marques spinning at The Viper Room.
