Heather x3

I think above all else I enjoy spending time experimenting with art & music. Throughout the years, I have filled several journals with ramblings, drawings & images, as well as accumilating hundreds of hours of film & thousands of hours of music on tapes, CDs, vinyl records & minidiscs. The studio is packed with thousands of images, canisters of exposed undeveloped film, rolls of uncut film & prints from the darkroom.

Getting a final product out to a client serves to finance my addiction to all things related to art, spend a little more time in the company of other artists & – of course – the muse.

One model I have worked with for a long time is Heather. We met while working for a modeling agency in Northern California. Heather's carefree attitude & experience with photographers always makes for a productive session. In October of 2004, we locked ourselves in my studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean & experimented with film & video. Here is the first of many movies that wiill be a product of this session. This particular movie is a study in motion & ambient sounds. Heather moved to music on the floor of the studio while I shot. A piece of the video was selected, slowed, reversed & multiplied. After Heather left the studio for home, I composed the sounds that are heard in the final product.
