Marion Knott Studios is so new at Chapman College that the landscaping was still being put in during the conference. Steve Martin, "NateDog," Ann, Bill, Jay & I were told we would be the very first to be breaking in the newly constructed super-deluxe classroom — a room complete with remote control everything, yup, everything was remote controlled even the blinds were remote controlled to darken the classroom.
If some of you are wondering what is so special about Marion Knott Studios? Well here are few of their achievements: Chris Mais SIGGRAPH 2005 Best Student Animation, Narrative/Storytelling; Recent filmmakers-in-Residence have included William Friedkin, Carl Franklin, Harold Becker, Mark Rydell & Bob Jones & Adam Rote from Moviola in Hollywood also teaches there.
